A message from the executive director, Andrew Young and the chair of the board, Anne Fitzgerald

Dear friends,

As we reflect upon the past year, we are immensely proud of how Outward Bound Canada (OBC) has risen to the challenges and seized the opportunities that came our way. In the face of the far-reaching effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, our unwavering commitment to empowering youth through outdoor experiences has remained steadfast.

As we emerge from the grip of the pandemic, we stand resolute in our dedication to the well-being of our participants, staff, and communities. By forging new partnerships and launching innovative projects and programs, we have expanded our reach and strengthened our impact.

We have increased funding, scholarships, and accessibility to ensure that diverse communities have equal opportunities to benefit from our transformative experiences.

Now, more than ever, we understand the pressing need to nurture the mental well-being of our youth. The disruptive effects of the pandemic have made it crucial to provide a space where young people can rebuild their resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster their mental health. Outward Bound Canada can be that catalyst for positive change.

As we venture into the coming year, we anticipate more challenges on the horizon.

However, we're confident that with your unwavering support, we can continue to make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of young people through our programs.
