A Message from our Executive Director, Andrew Young

Dear Supporters of Outward Bound Canada,

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and generosity this year. Thanks to your contributions, we will have provided almost 4,000 young people with transformative outdoor adventures by the end of 2024. Your support has been crucial in advancing our mission. Each dollar given is invested in the resilience and future of Canada’s youth, creating a ripple effect extending to families and communities. Your donations act as a catalyst for change, breaking down barriers and creating tremendous opportunities.

This year, we encountered new challenges: a testing economic climate and rising youth mental health concerns.

A Letter From Our Director

Because of your support, we were able to:
-Eliminate our waitlist for summer open enrollment programs, filling those spots with deserving youth;
-Overcome an unexpected flood of our Toronto base in peak program season, without interruptions to programs;

-Expand our reach by partnering with more schools and community groups whose youth need us now more than ever.

For myself, after wrapping up my time at OBC after 7 years, IOn behalf of the Outward Bound Canada community, our Board of Directors, instructors, and staff, thank you for choosing to continue supporting our cause. Whether through an additional donation this year or a pledge for the coming year, your involvement is crucial - and your generosity and commitment inspires us.
